There are two studio apartments. One has a king-sized bed that can be configured as twins and a single sofabed. A cot can be set up if required. The other has a queen sized bed and a single sofa bed. Both have an en suite bathroom with shower only. The fully equipped kitchens have a stove, microwave and fridge. The living areas have tv, video or dvd. There is a wifi connection for the internet. Irons and ironing boards are provided but there is no washing machine or dryer. There is a laundromat nearby. The apartments open onto a small courtyard with a large jacaranda tree. They have easy ground floor access.

Location

Homes mix with businesses in the old three-storey corner building. On the Darling Street level is an excellent french restaurant. It is open seven days a week. The rental apartments are below on the Denison Street level, accessed by a separate entrance into a courtyard.

Local Attractions

Sip a latte in Leichhardt, smell an organic grapefruit at the Growers market, learn about herbs and spices at Herbies, wonder at the cornucopia at the Fish Markets, groove to live music at the Union Hotel, party to midnight at the Monkey Bar, grab a bargain at Rozelle trash'n treasure market, or a souvenir at Balmain market.
The apartments are well located for public transport to the city (10 minutes away), and are walking distance into Balmain. Balmain is known for it’s restaurants, cafes, markets and bohemian atmosphere. Between the apartment and the bus stop to town is a selection of local shops including a small supermarket. Plus a selection of restaurants. There are three swimming pools within walking distance, the historic in-harbour Dawn Fraser Pool, the fully equipped Leichhardt Leisure centre and the Drummoyne pool.
