Get the best Sydney has to offer with proximity to white sandy beaches, warm sunny weather and a relaxed cosmopolitan lifestyle.

When you arrive at Dee Why Beach you will not be short of choices on where to eat. There is a good lively atmosphere during the evening and the street side restaurants and cafe 's are usually heavily booked during summer weekends, some with live acoustic music.

Voted NSW cleanest and best beach 2006, Dee Why has plenty to offer without the Manly/Bondi prices. This tranquil 1-bed studio is a short stroll to the lagoon, beach and many award winning cafes & restaurants on the newly developed beachfront.

Everything is right at your doorstep, situated only a few minutes walk to the main Northern Beaches express bus to the heart of the Sydney CBD, North Sydney or Chatswood.

The apartment is also equipped with the latest High Definition LCD TV & DVD player and Foxtel Digital TV which has all the Free to Air main channels and most of the other satellite channels including UKTV, Lifestyle, SkyNews, BBC World and CNN (except Sports and Movies).

To ensure maximum comfort and relaxation, we provide the basic necessities upon your arrival, such as all essential towels, linen, tea, and coffee so you can maximize your time in this great city with its stunning beaches. For a small fee, we can also collect and drop off at Sydney Airport.

Pet Friendly - your little furry friends are welcome to enjoy their stay too :-)

For guests staying more then 1 week, laundry access can be provided on weekends at specific times.

There is plenty of on-street parking. Access to the property is via a 1/3 steep driveway which may be difficult for some - please see pictures above.

A perfect day

A great way to start the day is with breakfast at Dee Why Beach at one of the award winning cafes on The Strand, followed by an awesome take away coffee from Bar Cino and a relaxing stroll along the beach to Long Reef. A promenade, grass picnic stretch and road separates the cafes from the soft sands but does not detract from the views of the glistening seas. Most cafes offer both alfresco and inside dining.

There is a sheltered rockpool at the southern end of The Strand, with nearby changing facilities, perfect for a gentle ocean swim without the need to fight the breaking waves.

Dee Why Beach has its Surf Patrol Pavilion at the northern end of The Strand and this is always the centre of much local community activity.

Dee Why Beach Lagoon, located at the northern end of the beach near Long Reef is tidal and joins the sea at certain times, making a small stream through the sands to the ocean.

If you fancy a very long walk, start at Dee Why, pass Long Reef golf course, venture up to the heads then down to Fishermans beach, onto Collaroy then continue along the endless stretch of Narrabeen beach to the lagoon.

The round trip from Dee Why Beach to the end of Narrabeen is about 10 Km and takes about 5 hours. From Dee Why Beach to Collaroy and back will take about 2 hours. Narrabeen beach runs parallel to Pittwater Road and there are plenty of shops and take-away's should you need additional provisions.

Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Sommar Stugan is right smack in the middle of all the places and people we visited in the time we were up in Sydney. Wish we had more time there. Our dog loved it too.
Jenny & Andre are very nice and accommodating people :o) (My Mother was so HAPPY as they allowed us to have my family come and visit us for Mum's Birthday. It made everyones day :o) )

We had a absolutely lovely time staying at Sommar Stugan. I would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Sydney. It was a very, very nice place to stay.

Hosts Jenni and Andre provided us with a wonderful 9 night stay in Sydney. The accomodation was charming and discrete. Nothing was a hassle, including our Jack Russell pup 'Harry'.

We walked to the beach most days and took advantage of the spa at night. It was very relaxing and just what the Dr ordered.

A much appreciated welcome package was waitning for us on our arrival - including a new toy and a treat for 'Harry'.

'Harry' loved his new toy so much that we took it home!
